Coins
Select one or more coins to include in the money worksheets.
The Count the coins worksheets require at least two coins
be selected.
Difficulty
Easy - The easy worksheet has the least amount of coins for each problem and is the easiest to complete.
Medium - The medium worksheet creates
problems with more coins than easy, but less than hard.
Hard - The hard worksheet has a large number of coins in each problem and is somewhat difficult to complete.
Wow - The Wow worksheet has
the largest number of coins in each problem and is the most difficult to complete.
Because of the large number of coins, you may need to adjust your worksheet
to print in landscape mode; see the help on Jumbo size
for additional information.
Options
Name/date/score - By enabling this option, each fact sheet will automatically have a page header
which will include a space for name, date, and score. This header is not included on answer sheets.
Number problems 1... - By selecting this option, all conversion problems will be numbered from
1 to the highest number.
Natural coins - This option
allows you to use natural (i.e. realistic) looking money in your problems. If this
option is not enabled, black and white line-art is used to display coins.
Order coins - Enable this option to display the coins from the largest value (half dollar) to the
smallest value (penny).
Show math symbols (+, =)
- Enable this option to include the plus (+) and equal (=) symbols between coins.
Show both heads/tails - Enable this
option to randomly display either the head's or tail's side of a coin. By default,
only heads is displayed.
Hide value labels - Many of the money
problems display a label under the coins to have the user fill in the coin's value.
You can enable this option to hide (i.e. remove) that coin value label. If the value
labels are hidden, the user only needs to answer a single part of each problem.
Jumbo size - This option allows you
to increase the display size of the money worksheet. The number of problems and
display columns generated depends on the size. For example, Jumbo worksheets always
have one column. Depending on the size, you may need to adjust your worksheets to
print in landscape mode in order to avoid the right-hand portion of the problems
from being cut off by your printer.
Reshuffle
For each set of options you select on the build page, you will
get the same problems each time you click the Generate button. If you are not satisfied
with the problems generated for you, then you can click the Reshuffle button. Once
you click Reshuffle, you can re-click the Generate button to generate a new set
of problems. There is no limit to the number of times you can reshuffle your problems.
